Apple II Forever April 1984 Event

It is not often you can directly connect two pieces of history. Might have one and not even know about the another. Today we’re going to connect two dots- enjoy two pieces of significant Apple history.

The first is an original mint condition invitation to the April 1984 Apple II Forever Event for the rollout of the Apple IIc at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. The second is the promo video used at that specific event.

Here’s various shots of the Apple II Event Invitation from my collection.

Here is Apple’s Event promo with my favorite theme song. 🙂

You mention the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Personally, every time I hear about that I think back to a little Mac movie(or what I consider a Mac movie)called “The Net”. They filmed the scene where Angela(Sandra Bullock)uploads evidence of a conspiracy masked as the Gate Keeper security program to the F.B.I.s central mail server from a Power Macintosh 7100 set up at the Cathedral booth at the Pan-Pacific Computer Convention. Of course, us Mac users know that best as MacWorld(which really was going on at the Moscone Center at the time of that scene’s filming)!
